River of God CCTV Privacy Notice

The River of God, Inc. (“ROG”) respects your fundamental right to privacy and we commit to take great care in safeguarding your personal data. We have developed this privacy notice to provide information about our privacy practices relating to our use of CCTV in our facilities aside from setting out the general principles that govern the collection, use, and disclosure of the personal data involved.

Why we process your personal data

River of God has CCTV in operation at its various facilities, including church sanctuary, offices and kid's school. The CCTV captures images in real time wherever the cameras are pointed.

River of God operates the CCTV in pursuit of its legitimate interest in maintaining the Safety and security of its facilities for you, our church members, workers and visitors. We also operate the CCTV to comply with our legal obligation. There are local government units with ordinances requiring the installation of CCTV in business establishments falling within their jurisdictions due to the risk of criminal activity and other unforeseen incidents.

Why we disclose your personal data

Should there be an incident, we may be required by law enforcement agencies to provide a copy of CCTV footages to investigate a crime. We may also need to provide such a copy to our advisors if there is a possible breach of company regulations or a need to defend River of God from potential claims.

In case of a disclosure, we ensure that it is done through secure channels and in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.

How long we retain your personal data

As a general rule, we retain CCTV footage for 15 days from the day of its recording. After which, it would be deleted. A footage required for investigative or evidential purposes is retained for five (5) years or until the case is closed, whichever is longer, and is securely disposed of after such period.

What your choices are

You are afforded certain rights in relation to your personal data such as requesting to access, rectify, erase and restrict the personal data we have about you. If, despite our commitment and efforts to protect your personal data, you believe that your data privacy rights have been violated and—depending on the circumstances—you may be entitled to be indemnified for damages, we encourage you to contact our Data Privacy Officer, first to resolve your complaint. You have the right at all times to register a complaint directly with the National Privacy Commission or otherwise make a claim against River of God before a competent court.

Changes to our privacy notice

From time to time, we may update our privacy notice to respond to the changes in applicable laws, regulatory requirements, technologies, protocols, industry best practices and business purposes.

This notice is effective on December 15, 2024.
